01 / Context & challenge

A specific problem.
A considered starting point.

Cedar Pantry Supply is a fictional independent cookware retailer with a 180 product concept catalogue. Its imagined starting store mixes pans, utensils and accessories in broad collections. Shoppers struggle to compare sizes, discover shipping costs late and repeatedly ask support whether products suit their hobs.

02 / The objectives

What the concept sets out to improve.

Help shoppers choose the correct size and material, make delivery expectations visible before checkout and reduce repeated product questions without hiding support.

03 / Scope & handover

Make the work tangible.

  • Collection architecture
  • Responsive storefront
  • Reusable product template
  • Bundle rules
  • Cart and checkout layouts
  • Transactional email designs
  • Analytics event plan

CONNECTED SPECIFICATIONCedar Pantry Supply
02 / Proposed experience specification · visual interpretation
04 / Proposed implementation

The thinking behind the experience.

01

Discovery mapped three purchase journeys: first cookware purchase, replacement pan and gift bundle. The catalogue was reorganised by use, size and material rather than internal stock labels.

02

Product templates introduced dimension diagrams, compatibility notes, care instructions and related accessories. Variant choices update the product image and availability message together.

03

Cart and checkout designs surfaced shipping estimates and return information early. Guest checkout remained prominent; account creation was offered after purchase.

04

The concept handoff included inventory mapping, product import rules, order email layouts and mobile checks for filters, unavailable variants and payment failure recovery.

Proposed stack / workflow

Suggested implementation: Shopify storefront, product metafields, a compatible payment provider, GA4 ecommerce events and a consent aware measurement setup.

05 / Evaluation scenario

Define the measures.
Understand the limits.

Illustrative results · not measured client performance

Invented before-and-after scenario values from the concept brief. They are not benchmarks, promises or forecasts for a new engagement.

Measurement method & limitations

Compare equal six week periods with similar traffic sources and stock availability. Checkout completion means completed orders divided by checkout starts; exclude staff and test purchases. Reconcile paid orders with the order system before describing revenue.

Discounts, stock changes and shipping promotions could change results independently of the storefront. These figures model an evaluation, not a forecast.
