01 / Context & challenge

A specific problem.
A considered starting point.

Looplane Mobility is a fictional bike rental service. Its imagined app puts a large map before essential price and availability information. New riders cannot tell whether a station has a suitable bike, and the reservation expiry is only explained after the booking has been confirmed.

02 / The objectives

What the concept sets out to improve.

Help riders understand availability, price and reservation timing before committing, while making unavailable and interrupted states easy to recover from.

03 / Scope & handover

Make the work tangible.

  • Mobile journey map
  • Onboarding screens
  • Station and bike selection
  • Fare review
  • Reservation states
  • High fidelity prototype specification
  • Design tokens
  • Handoff notes

CONNECTED SPECIFICATIONLooplane Mobility
02 / Proposed experience specification · visual interpretation
04 / Proposed implementation

The thinking behind the experience.

01

Journey mapping covered first rental, repeat rental, empty stations and failed reservation attempts. The design distinguished viewing availability from holding a specific bike.

02

A combined station list and map gave users an alternative way to browse. Bike type, distance, indicative price and availability appeared before the primary booking action.

03

The booking review showed the reservation hold period and cancellation information. Error states explained expired availability and offered a return to the station list without losing context.

04

The prototype specification documented touch targets, screen reader labels, loading states and motion reduction. Design review included small devices and location permission denial.

Proposed stack / workflow

Suggested production: Figma mobile components, native platform interaction references and accessibility review with real assistive technology during implementation.

05 / Evaluation scenario

Define the measures.
Understand the limits.

Illustrative results · not measured client performance

Invented before-and-after scenario values from the concept brief. They are not benchmarks, promises or forecasts for a new engagement.

Illustrative evaluation scenario for Looplane Mobility. No measured client performance.
MeasureBeforeAfter
Booking task completion7 of 1210 of 12
Participants correctly recalling the hold period4 of 1210 of 12
Median prototype booking time110 seconds74 seconds

Measurement method & limitations

Use the same booking scenario and availability conditions with twelve illustrative participants per concept. Record unassisted completion and comprehension separately. A prototype cannot confirm actual stock, location accuracy or payment success.

The concept is design work only. Map content, fare data and operating restrictions must come from the real service before implementation.

Have something more specific in mind? We are happy to talk through your goals, constraints and next steps.

Do you design separately for iOS and Android?
We build unified design systems that leverage platform-native conventions (iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Android Material Design 3) while keeping your core brand identity consistent across both ecosystems.
Can you provide assets ready for Flutter or React Native engineers?
Yes. All Figma files are organized with clear naming conventions, autolayout rules, vector SVG icons, and design tokens ready for direct engineering implementation.
